Thanksgiving Dinner

As the Holidays approach you will see that it is not uncommon for many people, including seniors are without a place to go. Many of them have lost family members or live to far from relatives and spend the holidays alone. For caregivers who have patients with a circumstance like this, it is important to promote socialization around these times to prevent depression or social isolation. Here are some places around the Coachella Valley that offer a Thanksgiving dinner for a small donation or free.
Senior centers around the Valley are having a Thanksgiving lunch available on Wednesday the twenty-fifth.

For those who can pick up food and cook their own meals at home, there are some local churches giving away turkeys and food boxes to low income families. However there is a limited supply and they are first come first serve.
